Life has its ups and downs, and if you have only one bra in your wardrobe, odds are that you’re
down much of the time! One bra cannot handle all your wardrobe demands.
That’s why you need a 5 piece bra kit.
The 5 types of bras all women need in their arsenal are:
● Your go-to everyday bra, be that a smooth t-shirt style, or a seamed, more structured
cup. You should have at least one: 2 is better. The more you have in rotation, the longer
each will live to support you.
● Strapless or convertible strapless. Most can accommodate multiple strap positions, and
if you’re fit properly, and invest in a good strapless, it will do its work sans straps
altogether. Opens up wardrobe options that were once unavailable.
● Sport bra or bras. High impact activities require more support than a bra you’d wear for
yoga. If you are big breasted, invest in a well fitted sport bra that encapsulates each
breast individually, and stay away from those that give you a Uniboob, or which require
you to wear more than one bra. There are well designed and engineered bras out there.
Take care of your breasts, wear the right equipment, and don’t hurt yourself!
● Leisure bra. Especially if you are big breasted, it’s hard to entertain company while
braless. This is a bra that has gentle support, usually no wires. It gives just enough hold
so that your 12 year old son’s friends have no problem ignoring you, as opposed to
seeing your braless, bouncing, G cups. While it’s a relief to be braless sometimes, it’s
also uncomfortable to be uncontained.
● Little Black Bra or Something Flirty and Fun. Something more playful than your work
bra. Depending on your work, could be the same! I’ve noticed a trend away from pretty
bras for everyday to more basic foundations that improve the look of clothes. But there
are no bra police, so, you do you!
